Attorney Nicholas Vogelzang has been working for mesothelioma victims
for over ten years. His interest in that area of law was sparked by his
father,
Dr. Nicholas Vogelzang,
who has also dedicated his career to the treatment of mesothelioma
patients. Shortly thereafter he began his career fighting for victims
of
asbestos-induced disease.
After only two years of being a licensed attorney, he helped his client
Roby Whittington; obtain a 250 million dollar verdict against U.S.
Steel. Mr. Whittington was diagnosed with
mesothelioma after
working in a steel mill his whole life. At trial it was proven to the
jury that U.S. Steel failed to warn Mr. Whittington of the dangers of
the asbestos that floated in the air of his workplace. Since that time,
Mr. Vogelzang has dedicated his career to defending the rights of
mesothelioma victims. He has worked with well over 100 mesothelioma
clients and tried cases across the country, including St. Louis, Fort
Worth and Chicago. In addition to the Whittington verdict, he has
obtained in excess of 250 million dollars in settlements for his
clients. Mr. Vogelzang previously worked with partner William Connelly
at Motley Rice and Richardson Patrick in South Carolina before starting
Connelly & Vogelzang, LLC.

Attorney William Connelly has been a devoted trial lawyer for 29
years. He is licensed to practice law in the states of Arizona,
Illinois, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia and Wisconsin
and has been admitted pro hac vice in the other 50 states to assist in
trials in state and federal courts. Mr. Connelly has primarily focused
on jury trials involving asbestos litigation and mesothelioma victims
over the past 15 years. He has represented mesothelioma victims against
the largest corporations and defense law firms in the nation. Mr.
Connelly has multiple jury verdicts in excess of 100 million dollars.
Additionally, he has been involved in asbestos-related settlements in
excess of 500 million dollars. He was a litigation partner at the law
firm of Ness Motley and was a founding litigation partner of the law
firm of Richardson Patrick. At both firms he was involved in several
types of civil litigation cases including mesothelioma, tobacco, lead,
phen-fen and numerous other toxic torts with multimillion dollar
verdicts and settlements. Prior to his work in asbestos litigation, Mr.
Connelly prosecuted criminal cases for 10 years at the Cook County Court
House where he tried over 50 murder jury trials and well over 50 jury
trials involving other serious class-x felonies. William has teamed up
with Nicholas Vogelzang to form a boutique firm dedicated solely to
mesothelioma victims.
